"We were first introduced to Beacon Boats at a wet and windy boat show in our long search for a boatbuilder and never looked back.
It was a fantastic adventure (which we can highly recommend) watching and discussing every detail of our home being built.
We cannot express our thanks enough to Ali, Andy and Neil for the warm welcome, the friendliness, the first class workmanship, their attention to detail, the list is endless and nothing was to much trouble.
All we can say is what a great team and what a great boat they build."

"Serenity was launched in Dec 2007, just in time for the new owners to move onto for Christmas.
A 57' traditional stern narrowboat, with bluff bow, and our usual detailing to the hull of recessed panels, scroll work, finger grab-rail and uprising stern. Serenity has been painted in our increasingly popular colour scheme once again, as requested by our customers.
As a live aboard, the owners wanted plenty of storage space, and especially specified a wine storage area, which was neatly fitted in underneath the raised dinette base, giving space for plenty of wine bottles to keep them going through the evenings! As usual though, there is plenty of built in storage space, including large drawers under the galley base units, which can otherwise be wasted space.
Our customers had a thorough wish list, all of which was included in the build, and ranged from a travel pack on the engine, bow thrusters, stainless steel diesel stove, chrome fit-out, stand on-top bathroom basin, even a small shelf for glasses to sit on at night, and storage coffee table, to name but a few.
A traditional layout, from the 5' bow deck with cratch and lockers, through stable doors to the saloon, with satellite TV, storage units and step, to the raised dinette with a clever back rest that can be removed or changed to the other side to give seating facing the bow, of course with storage, and a 12v freezer tucked underneath one of the seats.
Through to the galley with all facilities including full size washing machine, lots of under, & overhead storage, hob, oven/grill, sink and the Central Heating system hidden behind a swing out shelf unit.
Then through to the bathroom with the lovely sink, large glass quadrant shower, cassette toilet and chrome heated towel rail. A real pleasure to be in here!
The bedroom has our usual pull out in-line bed, giving a very comfortable sized bed and luxury mattress. Again, lots of storage wherever we can fit it, and another fold out satellite TV.
The engine room houses all the workings of the boat, a total of 6 batteries, inverter/charger, travel pack and so forth, with the 42hp Isuzu engine, and again, more storage in steps and cupboards!
The fit out was in Oak with touches of Sapele, and chrome fittings. All lighting is from spotlights, with angled Bulls eye lights where required.
12 and 230v runs throughout the boat. Again portholes were the preferred choice, to give security and privacy, and with the two Houdini hatches, there is no want for natural light.
Our customers had plenty of input in the building of their boat, making some fine choices for tiles and soft furnishings, which have brought the boat as a whole to life. We are pleased to say that they were thrilled with her, and moved on straight away... regardless of the floods at the time! After champagne and a short wait for the water to go down, her maiden voyage to the mooring was successful, and they remain happily ensconced in their new home!
Should you see them out on your travels, give them a wave as you admire the boat! At well under £90,000, she makes a lovely and elegant home
