"For us, what stands out about Beacon Boats is their attitude as well as their quality. They are very friendly and welcoming, and always want to do the best by their customers. On the one hand they were receptive to even our half-formed ideas, yet were also prepared to tell us what they felt would be best, what might work and what wouldn't.
The design and development were fluid, with lots of looking, thinking, discussing and adapting. They have the knack of combining a pride in their work with producing the boat that we wanted to own and use, so that in the end Singing Hinny was more of, and a better boat than, we thought we could ever have. She has been a joy to stay on and easy to handle.
The follow up care of Singing Hinny (and her relatively inexperienced owners) has been first class, with any teething problems dealt with promptly and efficiently. We think that that word sums it up - Care: they cared that we loved what they produced, they cared that it looked and worked well, they cared that the boat was right.
Thank you Ali and Neil. (and Mark and Sheila, and X,RandD, and Sam)"

Singing Hinny is a bespoke built 57' semi-trad, with josher style bow and our usual external features of recessed panels, scroll work, stable doors and so forth, again painted in the popular Black Red & cream! with solid brass chromed ports.
Two quickly removable upholstered 'Captains perch' seats were made for the stern. Lined in maple with all oak trim, she is light and airy yet warm looking, with solid oak floors throughout. Reverse layout, from the bow…bedroom, bathroom, saloon and galley then up to the stern deck.
The galley runs either side with an 'L' on the starboard side, and has 'Quartz' worktops with all the usual appliances, 'cellar box' in the floor, and kickboard drawers. Extra spice drawers and wine bottle storage is also provided, along with electric cupboard, calorifier and airing cupboard.
The saloon has an 'L' shaped upholstered dinette with flexible table arrangement, that also becomes a guest bed. Storage is also provided under. A special corner coffee table with storage was also provided in the saloon, along with a media centre unit, more storage and a multi-fuel stove.
The side hatch here had internal glass shutter screens.
The Bathroom has a quadrant glass shower, vanity unit and our 'thunderbox' toilet with storage behind.
The bedroom has a cross bed with slide out sections making it easier for one person to manage, storage under, a dressing table and mirror, bedside drawers and a 4' wardrobe including an integral laptop desk.
In the Bow, along with the lockers, provision is made for a table also. A Bow-thruster is fitted under, and a stainless steel water tank.
The boat went out at around £100,000 including everything down to the windlass and signwriting.
We wish our customers years of enjoyment onboard Singing Hinny.
